Kia Ora

I am Shannon Potter and I am a qualified Primary and Early Childhood teacher with over 9 years experience working with children from 0-10 years old. I live in Paeroa with my husband Darrin and our daughter Harper who also attends Paeroa Early Learning Centre.

I have a strong passion for working with children, and building strong, secure attachments with children to ensure they feel safe in a different environment. Children should be able to lead their learning, express themselves, and grow as a person.  I believe that early childhood education is about children having the opportunity to be who they are, face challenges to overcome them and develop a willingness to give anything a go. Life is full of the unknown and Early Childhood Education allows children to learn and develop the skills they need in a safe, nurturing environment.

I look forward to working with parents/caregivers to ensure the best outcome for the children. Nga Mihi.
